first day back at work

i was exhausted and still am!! i did the middle of the night feeding for lucas and i got back in bed at 3:15am and back up at 5. i showered, dried my hair, pumped, finished getting myself ready, helped get lucas ready, emma ready and fed and out the door. i had 724 emails to sort thru!! overall it was a good day. i was happy to see a few of my coworkers and have someone to talk to all day. i was so tired though. i had a hard time getting thru the fog but i made it thru with the help of folgers.

now for the awesome part. the pumping room has been re-done since i pumped with emma and it rocks!! now there are two high walled cubicles set up with comfy chairs and a table. and there's a mini-fridge to leave your milk in. there's a sign-up sheet with time slots so you don't have to wait for a cube. i love it!! such an improvement from the large conference room with a single chair in it. i'll be sharing the cube with one other girl. i'm thinking of sprucing our cube up with magazines and stuff.

our evening went well too so hopefully we'll get into a routine soon. lucas had a good day and did well with his first day at the babysitter's house. he came home and seemed exhausted. he slept for the entire evening except for when i got him out of the carseat and made him smile at me for a while. then he nursed and was back out. hopefully we'll get a good night's sleep tonight.
