it's been too long

i'm sorry, i'm such a slacker. i can't think of things to write so i don't write anything. we've been doing great! we're looking forward to the long weekend. we have busy 3 days ahead of us. on saturday, we're going to meet wendy at des peres park to see her new puppy, bella. i've been trying to teach emma to say bella's name. then it's home for a nap and then off to kierstin and brian's. did i mention how excited i am that we're going back to kierstin's on tuesday?!?!? seriously, we have missed her family so much for the last 8 months. since she will be taking emma to evie's school, we have to install one of our carseats in her van. on sunday, we're going to grandma pam's. she needs nic's help to install something and then we're going to a carnival, emma's first! then it's probably going to be a lot of relaxing on monday. have i mentioned how smart emma is getting? seriously, when did she get to be almost 18 months old? the other night we were eating at the table and she stopped eating, pointed to her arm, and said "arm." i was amazed!! she knows body parts but that was out of nowhere. last night at dinner, the cat was eating some dinner too. emma looked at ellie and said "bite." yep, the cat was getting a bite. i just love how she notices little things like the cat nibbling on cat food. she gets great pleasure from shutting and opening doors. she loves her barnyard shake 'n go cars that the boys gave us. she yells "READY" and makes them go. she's so excited about little things, like a motorized pig. i being on the front lines, watching her grow. but don't grow too fast for mommy, baby girl. stay a baby a bit longer...
